Harbourcut Studio makes short, AI-assisted video ads for local businesses: restaurants, cafés, gyms, salons, realtors and dealers. Cut for the scroll.

When someone you refer becomes a client, you choose your thank-you:

  • 15% of their first invoice, paid to you, or

  • a US$35 credit toward your next Harbourcut order.

How it works

  1. Share your code or your personal link (we'll send you both: a code like HC-XXXX and a harbourcut.com/r/HC-XXXX link) with a business owner you know. Tell them about us in your own words.

  2. They mention your code or name when they book with us, before their first invoice is issued.

  3. They pay their first invoice in full. Within 14 days, we send your reward the way you chose.

Ways to share that respect people's inboxes

  • Tell them in person, by phone, or in a personal message from you to someone you actually know.

  • Want an intro? Ask them first, then send us their name and business at [email protected]. We'll reach out once, mention you by name, and won't follow up unless they reply.

  • Please don't post your code on coupon sites, mass-email or text it, or send it to purchased or scraped lists.

Referral Program Terms

Version 1.0, Oct 2026. Prices in USD. Taxes added where applicable.

  1. Who can refer (eligibility). Anyone 18 or older, including current and past Harbourcut clients. Excluded: Harbourcut owners and contractors, and their household members. White-label partners can refer a business that will buy from Harbourcut directly. A client a partner resells under its own brand doesn't qualify, because the partner already earns its margin.

  2. Who counts as a referred client. A business that:

    • (a) has never been a Harbourcut client,
    • (b) isn't already in active talks with us (a quote sent or a call booked in the past 90 days), and
    • (c) arrives through your link, or names your code or name, before their first invoice is issued.

    If two people refer the same business, the first one we receive is the one that counts.

  3. No self-referral. You can't refer yourself, your own business, a business you own or co-own, your employer, or anyone in your household. You also can't use more than one identity to refer.

  4. The reward. You pick one per referred client, either:

    • (a) 15% of the referred client's first invoice, counting only the amount actually paid, before tax, excluding any taxes, rush fees and extra revision fees, or
    • (b) a US$35 credit on your Harbourcut account.

    For a retail order, "first invoice" means the whole first order, both the 50% deposit and the 50% final payment. Each referred client earns one reward.

  5. When you get paid. We pay within 14 days after the referred client's first invoice is paid in full. If you don't tell us your choice within 30 days of us asking, you get the credit.

    • Cash is paid by Interac e-Transfer (sent from [email protected]), or by Stripe once live. e-Transfers you send to us go to [email protected].
    • Credits apply to future orders, expire 12 months after they're issued, can't be exchanged for cash and can't be transferred.

  6. Clawback. If the referred client's payment is refunded, charged back or disputed, the reward is cancelled. If it was already paid, it's deducted from future rewards or credits.

  7. How you share (CASL-friendly).

    • Share only through personal conversations, or personal messages to people you have a personal or business relationship with.
    • You may not send bulk or unsolicited commercial email, texts or DMs about Harbourcut, buy or scrape contact lists, or claim to speak for Harbourcut.
    • If you give us a contact, you confirm you know them and they're happy to hear from us. Harbourcut will send one message that names you, identifies Harbourcut, includes our mailing address and an unsubscribe option, and we'll stop if they opt out.
    • Rewards for referrals that break these rules may be refused.

  8. Honesty. No fake reviews and no misleading claims about Harbourcut's services or prices. If you post publicly about us, say that you earn a referral reward.

  9. Taxes. You're responsible for any tax on rewards you receive.

  10. Changes and ending the program. Harbourcut may change these terms, or pause or end the program at any time. Changes don't affect rewards already earned on invoices paid before the change. We'll post the current version on our site.

  11. Final say. Harbourcut decides whether a referral is eligible. We may refuse or cancel rewards obtained by fraud, abuse or breach of these terms.

  12. Privacy. We use referral details only to run the program and contact the referred business once, as described above.
